Bio
Born in Troy , NY , I started listening to the radio at a young age. My
favorite song as a pre-schooler was "Saber Dance", followed second by "How
High the Moon." I began violin lessons at age 7 and lost interest in them
by 9.
In 9th grade, a classmate had an electric guitar and invited me to his house
to hear it. I started to noodle around with the guitar and became
fascinated. I acquired a guitar and began playing.
In college I began to play with garage bands and at fraternity parties.
After college, I continued to play at home and professionally. Currently, I
play solo or in a duo with another guitarist (as The Hot Wires). Live sets
span from Elvis to Richard Thompson, and from Howlin Wolf to the Kingston
Trio, as well as originals.
My new CD, " Unusual Way ", is a compilation of songs I have written over a
few years, based on life experiences, conversations, and creative musical
ideas. This CD is a lively combination of blues, rock, country, and jazz inspired music.
Some of the finest musicians in the capitol region have contributed to my
CD, making " Unusual Way " a roller coaster of musical styles.
